Hadithne ("حدِّثني") is an educational storytelling app for children and their families. This page describes what data the app handles and how.

Information We Collect

The app requires no account and collects no personally identifiable information such as names, email addresses, or location. We may collect usage statistics (e.g. how often stories are opened) and technical error logs (OS version, time of error) solely to improve the app. These statistics are associated with a one-way hashed (non-reversible) device identifier that cannot be used to identify you or reveal any personal data.

Children's Privacy

The app is designed to be safe for children: we do not knowingly collect personal data from children, the app contains no advertising, and purchases are protected by a parental gate. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Voice Recordings & Custom Stories

When you use the record-your-own-story feature, recordings and images are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers or shared with anyone.

Subscriptions & Purchases

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details. A technical receipt-validation service may be used to activate paid content; the data exchanged is limited to the store receipt and contains no personal information. Your purchase state is stored on your device.

Third-Party Services

The app relies on a limited set of third-party services (the app stores and receipt validation), each governed by its own privacy policy. We do not sell your data or share it for marketing purposes.

Security

We follow commercially reasonable practices to protect data, while noting that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
